Peziza echinospora Karst. Stachelsporiger Becherling Charcoal Cup. Cup 3–8cm across, cup-shaped with incurved margin, sessile, inner surface dark reddish-brown, outer whitish flushed brown and scurfy. Flesh thin, brown. Asci 300 x 14µ, blued at the tip by iodine. Spores oblong-elliptic, finely warted, 14–18 x 7–9.5µ. Habitat on burnt ground and charred wood. Season late spring to autumn. Common. Not edible. Found In Europe.
